is this any good XJ 89 Cat?

I didn't realize those years had a 2.5" in(vaguely recall a small downpipe that feeds into a bigger pipe at the cross member junction). That one is a direct fit; you could save $25 by buying a universal magnaflow cat with the same I/O dimensions, an extra clamp, and a length of pipe(you'd have to measure).

I know a few people who ran Mac products when I was in the Mustang scene, quality stuff.

You might be thinking of MAC mufflers.. not Mac Auto Parts store in the auction.

Hm, I stand corrected, thought it was the same place.

I've seen the magnaflow bolt in cats for cheaper than that.

Skip it than... all the greenies here are going to attack you though as if your one truck without a cat will cause trail closures 1000 miles away.

Thats True, but 89 never did have a good cat though, and it isn't as bad as an v-8, but hey they have there reasons. lol Without the cat i will get a little more horse though. I know a guy that builds funny cars, he runs alot of dyno tests before. Also isn't carbon good for the trees.

Thanks

It is a federal law to have one, but if they won't do visual then no worries. You can order a bolt-on cat delete pipe from vatozone.. for "off-road use only"
