as 0.875" by 1.25" steel tubing? I scored a set of Thule gutter mounts (300s). Now I can fix my uber ghetto roof rack mount. I made it work with what I had on hand, but I wouldn't trust it to any weight. I don't have the Load Bars and the 1" tubing I have won't fit 'em. When they are evened out (top pivots, see pic), the opening is 7/8"(.875) tall by 1.25" wide. The silver rivet looking thing is pivot rod.

Any ideas?

Where are you at again? If you are in the Denver area take that mount and go to K&K surplus, I-76 & 88th round abouts, go around with it until you find what you need.............. if you find it in the scrap stock it is .50 a pound.....

Thule makes 'em, and they're already ruber-coated to delay rust formation. Get the 60" and cut 'em down if needed.

Thanks fellas. I'll hit up that K&K place, it's right near my 'hood (104th & Colo.). I may end up just goin with the Thule bars, but tryin to keep it cheap. The rack's not great and got it for next to nothin. Got the gutter mounts for wiring a light and a couple outlets in a friends garage. Once I graduate in Dec., and hopefully get a job, I'll throw some money at this thing. The rack isn't really a priority, but since I came up on the mounts for damn near free, I might as well see what I can do to finish it.
