Is NAXJA sponsoring any Jeepspeeds

FYI,
Motive Gear has a $250 last place Jeepspeed finisher contingency. Your team chose not to run the dacal at Parker, finished last and didnt get it...

Not knocking you guys... I never run for contingency's unless they already help us out.

Wasn't our car - didn't want to sticker it up. In hindsight though...lol

Well, once again, you turds have cought the attention of the BOD.
Who's stupid idea was promoting going fast accross our delicate desert?

Raising dust and all....

You can get hurt doing that!

;)

I like the contingency program idea and if you guys can generate enough interest or can show some other benefits (other than exposure) I'd bet you could get enough of the BOD on board to make this happen.
What does the Jeepspeed program do in regards to public exposure or land access issues? School trips? Donations to off road causes?

I'm not sure they do any of that stuff Rick. They are RACERS!! haha

Thats said, I would think exposure would be enough... more exposure= more traffic to NAXJA = more members signing up = more vendors wanting to advertise here = more money for NAXJA to donate to those causes. It all ends up the same in the end.

Did KOH donate to any land issues? I would think they would have being as they hold their race at JV but who knows.

How about a contingency program. Maybe we could get ALL Jeepspeed competitors to run NAXJA decals if we put up some sort of everyman award like a few $ for 10th place?

x2. We're not a for-profit business and shouldn't expect/be expected to compete/sponsor the same. A NAXJA sticker won't "compete" with other brands because we don't sell anything, so the cost of entry would be low, especially if we give out the stickers free ;). So hopefully it would be popular even on a low contingency budget.

KOH (Hammerking Productions) has donated over 10k to FOJV either directly or through its racers and sponsors.

We might have a hard time spending money for exposure.
Our primary goals involve working for our membership (and we gotta' be honest here, there isn't a big percentage of us racing) and working on land access issues. That being said, I'd bet we could work out something that might benefit our members who compete.
:dunno:

I can understand Rick's input here, NAXJA's MO seems to be about protecting land use and access, and not much else. At most this would mean more exposure for the club in general, maybe bring some more XJ owners over to our site from places like jeepspeed, race dezert, and dezert rangers. As the months go on this section of the forum is seeing more and more posts, much more than I thought it would in the beginning. Is there any harm in the club being sort of an all inclusive, everything you can do in a jeep, type of place?

Well, to get in line with Ricks comments... .what if a sponsorship for a team was to give $1000 to cover some entry fees.... and in return, you ask that particular team to bring their rig to different fundraisers for land preservation..... Usually those are some of the things written into a sponsorship package.

You can use the race jeep to lure attention to things such as land preservation fundraisers, etc etc

We personally inventory the desert tortoise....counting them at a high rate of speed. Total count from racer inventory vehicle to date is 0.

So they can bring back the Barstow to Vegas Race.:lecture:

I like this idea. We could bring to more people's attn the threat of losing JV and point out that it's much much more than just the Hammers. Also show the threats against a lot of our wheeling areas and open desert. IE, "if you don't get involved and help support land use causes and being responsible when wheeling, we could lose the places that a rig like this can actually be used." type of thing.

That is a good idea but NAXJA does not hold these type of events as NAXJA. They donate money to other organisations to do that. What type of event could NAXJA hold so that "if" they were to sponsor us to bring our rigs to.

Confused, I thought some Jeepspeed teams (or the owning companies there of) suported NAXJA though the vendor program, now you want to take that and give it to other teams that don't suport NAXJA. Just suport the ones that are already suporting NAXJA by showing up to a race and lending a hand.

I like the idea of a contingency program or even a sponsored race,..... what about a team :NAXJA: truck though? Forum members could get involved in different aspects of the team, volunteering where needed. Then somehow, tie the forums involvement into land use issues.Remember , there is that other forums Jeepspeed team :pirate1:

Bingo!

My schedule can be pretty full with family, work, race and play and can make it dificult to show at some events, but if someone else is willing to take it out and show/play/promote (and promises to be good to it) with it, works for me.

NAXJA car? Great idea.
We had an AWESOME crew of NAXJA guys come out and help for the Baja 1000. Huge part of why we won vs. the "other forums" team...

They don't "support" NAXJA through the Vendor program. They pay for a service, advertising. That isn't a one sided deal, its not like they get nothing back. They give parts in exchange for advertising. Membership money would pay for a contingency program, it would have zero ties to the National Sponsorship program.
