Midwesterners,
There is an 87 XJ Wagoneer that has a trailer hitch and some massive drum brakes at Wrench N Go in Des Moines, Iowa. I looked underneath it and it appeared to have a D44. I couldn't tell if it was for sure but to me it seemed to bulge out more than a 35 and it did have the screw in drain plug (which most 35s didn't). There is a good chance too since it's an 87. I thought I would throw this out to you folks. If it wasn't so nasty in Iowa right now I would go pull it and sell it to make a quick $200-$300 but I am one lazy SOB right now. IIRC WNG gets $100 or $125 for an axle so this would be a potential to make some serious money. As I said, I'm not positive on this one, I should've taken a camera with me to snap a picture and of course I wasn't thinking about a cell phone, but me and my buddy were both very confident it was not a 35; I am familiar with what a 20 and a 8.25 look like and they wouldn't have been offered in those years anyway.

man that would be sweet to have but yeah i am with you on the weather thing. Got to love Iowa and this darn snow ice and what ever else:shiver:

:D Coming from the Northern Missourian. Just bring Camille up here to go shopping (you know she wants to) and pull it Tyler. Quick couple hundo in your pocket.

Might just do that, but some of us are going to Winterfest this weekend!! :D :D :D

I might give you a call next week when I get back and maybe come and get that bitch. I will need some directions...and your help...we could split the $$$$$ that is made (this is how the mob started!)

Everyone...FALSE ALARM, it was not a 44; it was just an old 35 that had a metal fill plug. Sorry about the false info, I really thought it was at first though.

sure it was a 35..I bet you bought it and want to sell it to us :D

There was some decent stuff there. Lots of d30's, chryco stuff.. Good interior parts, some good panels, glass and motors. Found a np242 just laying in the back of one. Scored that headlight for the van.

Oh yeah there's always a few good things there and the nice thing is they're reasonably priced too.
