Hi guys. I'm new the forum and to the world of XJ's. I just got my new (to me) rig last week. A '91 XJ Laredo, 4.0L HO, bone stock with the D30 rear. I also just moved to the bay area last month.
Back in Tucson, AZ, I used to own a wheel a basic Toyota pickup. I'd say I got pretty good considering the only mod was 31" tires. But because it was also my DD, outings often tended to be more stressful than fun. That all came to a head when i hydrolocked it which eventually led to a broken connecting rod and a windowed block. I tried to replace the block and rebuild the engine, but found that i didn't have the expertise or the resources to do so, and eventually sold it to my roommate (also an XJer).
Anyway two years later now I got the itch again so I went out and picked this up:
It obviously needs some upgrades before it's really trailready, but I do enjoy a scenic fire road. I kind of feel bad about how clean it is! I guess I need to make armor a priority...
Anyway I look forward to meeting some of you out on the trails
