Haha yea it was leather. For suede all I have to do is rip it off, flip the fabric over, and re-glue. Nothin too hard

But I don't even own the truck anymore, haven't for about 4 years lol.

I think it looks good. Maybe try again with the right color suede though?

What'd you use around the edges? I had to use epoxy and clamp it all the way around the edge. Kind of a pain. if you cut little slits by the corners, it makes them easier to stretch to form as well.

It's black, it just didn't photograph right for some reason. For the corners I cut a few slits and used a spray adhesive to hold it to the door panel. [

What do you think ?

Yeaaa, I bailed on the whole thing. It just didn't look right, maybe a different color, but I'm just going to leave it alone.

I know the vinyl kinda sucks in the fact that well, it's vinyl. But I've always really liked it when it comes to cleaning. Leave your window down and get some rain in, just wipe it off. Leave you window down and get some mud in, just wipe it off. With suede, you'd have a lot more to care about. I feel like the driver's door sill would get pretty gross pretty fast as well. With your arm sitting on it half the time, it would get matted down/dirty/faded.

If it were any other color than black, I'd say forget the suede. My Dodge came with suede on the seat backs near the shoulder, and on the door panels right where you wanted yours (WTF were they thinking???). And it's a very light gray. Imagine trying to keep it clean. I put seat covers on & the driver seat is already worn badly, so I can guess what the suede would have looked like. Honestly the door panel has held up these last 3 years I have owned it, but I'm being super careful.

But base your decision on what YOU like, not on what people here say.

You do know suede can be stained badly by getting it wet, right? your floor is soaked in the third pic you posted, what makes you think suede is going to hold up? especially where you want to put it - the first time humidity builds up from that wet floor board on a hot day with the windows up your suede is going to look like it got sprayed with a fine mist of water, there will be tiny spots everywhere.
