I cannot stand the fake leather wanna be crap that you Jeep put on the door panel to rest your left arm on while driving, so I had an idea.

My Idea is to cover the black stripped areas with black suede and to mount the tweeter flush using the flush mount cups the kit came with.

I also had this though, use the same suede on the seats and have someone use a forest green stitching so it matches the paint on the Jeep.

Current interior, the plan is to order a new black carpet as well.

The jeep is 90% street driven now, and I actually like that so it getting muddy, or whatever really isn't a factor.

Good idea, Ive been tempted to do somethign similar, if not respraying the faded interior pieces black with some Dye.

My Cadillac has that vinyl shit on the armrests, I had the local upholstery shop make some slip covers that the soft fake leather, really makes a big difference

I did this exact thing in my s-10. Just drill out the plastic welds and use t-nuts instead.

haha doubtful, I made an attempt at a rear door panel today to see how it would look and it would be the easiest to replace if I decided to bail. What do you think ?

I think its just because it looks blue/purple.

I like the install otherwise (i.e. the pics turning out purple).
Do you have a write-up on the install? (i.e. where you bought the materials, what type of adhesives you used, etc...)

I don't, but I have 3 more door panels to do, so I'm sure I could take progress pictures next time.
