Wow, that's pretty amazing.. 25/hour for a lift and all the tools and help doesnt not sound that bad at all!

We had them here in Michigan about 35 years ago. They used to turn gas stations into do it yourself shops. A whole poop load of them burned down and that came to an end. Good idea too many idiots.

I'm resurrecting a year-old thread here. Does anybody know if this place is still around? Their URL goes to a GoDaddy parking site and I can't find a listing for them on Yahoo's Yellow Pages. Google isn't turning up much either.

Yep. Definitely must not have been profitable. They were locked out last year around Thanksgiving - a notice posted said they were closed down due to $19K owed in back rent.

The shop is still there, fully equipped, but has been closed ever since.

A real bummer.

Seems like charging a little more for bay rental and including tools might have helped. People don't like being nickel and dimed.
