Installing 97+ overhead console - anyone have wiring diagrams?

I have a '97 Country - it has power locks, windows, etc - so I'm pretty sure the wiring is there for an overhead console. Is it just a connector behind teh glove box or is there a complete harness that is already run to the headliner?

The console i bought is from a '99. I bought it from Ebay, so I didn't have the ability to pull the harness, etc. The console has the wiring connector and the wiring was just cut, so I can splice in to it easily. It also came w/ the exterior temp probe, but once again, the wiring is cut.

I need to find out what color my wiring needs to match up w/ the '99 wiring if possible.

I thought the complete wiring with plug would just be buried in the headliner so you simply install it and plug it in...

I have the same question as you do, no answers.

The overhead console has a special wire harness. The console is not plug and play unless you have the correct console wire harness. The console wire harnesses are similar from year to year, but the wire plugs are different. You can build your own wire harness and not use the wire plugs.

You can re-use your power locks/dome lamp wire harness and add the needed console wires. The temp probe just plugs in to the existing wire harness in the center of the front cross member, just behind the bumper.

PM me a good email address and I will send you some install instructions and wire diagrams.

Well, I know for sure that the harness connections differ from year to year - I had searched before and came across a good thread that showed the different connections - don't remember it identifying the wire colors though.

TIM - I pm'ed you. Well, that's good to know about the temp sender - hoping that I wouldn't have to run any wires through the firewall. As for the main harness, I was just planning on cutting the factory setup in the dash and splicing/soldering my own wires and running those up to the console. Hope that'll work
