Now I understand your hostility. Offcourse you would react to what you percieve as an attack on a club member by a mere forum member. however I still stand by my initial comment that this is not the correct forum for political comment, I came here for info on Xj jeeps. The world is full of political statements, do we really need it here?

It has nothing to do with Ramsey being a club member and you being a forum user.

I do not see that as racist in the least and I'm an educated Canadian liberal. Criticising a country simply does not count as racism in my books. I have actually spoken to Ramsey at length re. Northern Israel and Southern Lebanon, I still feel support for a `terrorist goup is inappropriate. Thank you all for the concern regarding my skin thickness, I'm sure its considerably thicker since I first posted, however time will tell.

FYI There are towns across the South that are Named after FREE BLACKS that had Volunteered to Fight for the South , And the "Confedrate Flag" was simply a Battle Flag during the War it's 1 and ONLY Purpose was to Distinguish the Southren Camps from the Northren Camps , The Flag of the Confederacy was too easily confused with the American Flag when the Soldiers were in Battle and folks were surrendering and retreating to the wrong sides in the exaustion and smoke filled Battle Grounds .......................... Class Dismissed.
And I do wear a "confederate" cap all the time and I work with alot of Blacks My welder and Helper is Black , among the many good friends I have , and they dont complain

Politics are on every forum. If you don't encourage him, the posting will stop. But when you post and repost, it just keeps going.

I'm here for Jeep info. When the other suff gets in the way, people will stop joining and this site will die, and with it a place for him to post his views.

The only forums that have a long life are the ones that stay on topic. Since the XJ is gone, in a few years if the forum doesn't encourage new people to join it to will go the way of the XJ.

I couldn't disagree more. When new folks come to the site, they should read all of the support information BEFORE they post some dumbass question that has already been answered a jillion times.

Multiple posting is a huge problem on any site that has usership in the thousands. After a while, reading through the same thread written by dozens of different people gets very tedious and simply clutters up the forum.

A couple of years ago one could search something simple like 'brake upgrades', 'long-arms', etc and get useful information from about a dozen or so threads on the topic. Now, when you try to search the same types of things, you get a hundred threads of people asking the same questions over and over again, and it becomes harder to find the good information. This is a direct result of posters posting before they have search posts.

Stick around a while and read and I bet you'll agree before too long. In addition, not everyone gets a loud, rude "SEARCH" as an answer to their question. It tends to be the dolts who are not paying attention and are clearly not bothering to search who get that kind of reaction. Again, stick around, watch closely and you will see what I'm talking about...
