Ok, fot permission to take the xj along to visit family in the C.S. area this coming August. What I need to know is what trails ther are in the area and the difficulty level of said trails. Are there any NAXJA members in the C.S. area that my be willing to lead a midwesterner on a day run?

I will have mayby two days if I am luck to go wheeling, one with the kids, and one with out.

Any information would be helpful.

I'm sure me ,Led and Joey can take you on a run-There's lots of places to go that make for a good day trip- just a matter of how far you want to drive.Dont forget we are having NAXJA Colorado-fest in august(I think its Aug. 8-13???).Judging by your sig. it looks like your rig is set up pretty good so you shouldn't have any problems handling the trails around here(This Doesn't include Indy). As time draws near shoot one of us a pm and I'm sure we can arrange a run for you.

The trail books by Charles Wells are pretty good. The first book "Guide to Colorado Backroads & 4-Wheel Drive Trails" is pretty good, though it fails to mention the "Eagle Rock" trail west of Springs off Gold Camp rd.

You shouldn't have trouble getting some assistance on a weekend, though the week days seem to be tight for most folks (personal experience). The COXJ Yahoo Group is a good source as well as the CO4X4 forum.

Enjoy CO! I really like the State and all the folks I met there were cool :)
