I'm looking for a tent trailer to tow behind my XJ. I'm interested in a '60's era, canvas tent trailer. I live in So, Cal. and am willing to drive 3 or 4 hundred miles for the right trailer.

Thanks, Merry Christmas

Always thought it would be cool to get a pop up and run some 33s on it and build some undercarraige protection so one could drag it thru the rocks some. Only thing I can say on oldies is the canvas goes bad and its hard to replace and pricy.

Canvas on most pop-ups is around $600.

Bear Creek Canvas is supposed to be a decent place to get replacement canvas.

I lifted my pop-up 4" just by flipping the axle to under the springs, and then I put on larger rims and tires. I wouldn't want to take a pop-up though hard trails (all the flexing can't be good for the wood inner frame), but I drag mine down a lot of moderate trails and normally get some nice camping spots that other pop-ups will never see.
