So I am trying to remove my front bumper on my 2000 XJ I got the plastic sides off and then on the passengers side inside the actual metal bumper there is a round rubber Ball its firm and I don't know what it is. I was curious to see if anyone knew what is it is and if I'm safe removing it with the bumper? Thank you

its the vacuum reservoir...be careful not to break the vac line that goes to it, but if you pop the line off and leave it attached to the bumper, it can stay in there. if you are putting a different bumper on you will need to relocate it

if you dont have cruise i think its possible to cap it and be okay (never done it, but i've been told by some that they've done it) however if you have cruise, you'll want to hang onto it

Relocate it inside the engine bay.

any leak in that system will cause the cruise not to work & your HVAC to defalt to the defrost, don't ask me why I know.
