Important

We had to install one of those on my junk in uwharrie.
That reminds me, I noticed my grill was upside down the other day.
I didn't know you could flip those, but at 10 PM in a campground it's easy.

except, there is a clearance issue with the RE bracket and my Front Dana 44 bridge...
Same issue with mine, just make a new bracket that bolts into the same location but move the lower end forward an inch or two.
I will be doing mine next week, I'll post a pic.

I'm having yet more concrete poured in my backyard today... down with mowing!

This bracket will likely be my solution -

in talking with Bob - it moves the trackbar about 1" forward...

and if I dont have to deal with making a part and worrying about my welds and the like - its worth $90 to me...

That's been my attitude of late... I hope it changes when I eventually get my tools sorted out and a clean place to work.

Same here. Be glad you didn't cut it out for winch clearance like that. :D

Now it the first thing I look at on every Jeep I see. I've seen 6 upside down since May.

My AC compressor locked up Tuesday. I've been driving the neighbors car to work. Waiting on UPS to drop off my new one.

That happened to my 99, on the way home from Midway.
I noticed oil and schrapnel exiting the compressor around the clutch.
that is the bad thing about those ser. belts...

Yeah mine's doing the, well, was doing the same thing. Too bad they didn't make a non AC option. The pulleys are all messed up too. I don't know if I could shorten the belt and still get my components to all work. - the AC of course.

You should look into just getting the idler pulley bracket from an earlier 4.0 I don't know how much different the mounts are between the newer 4.0's an mine, but my 87 just has a bracket and an idler. I can take pics and measurements if you're seriously considering getting rid of the ac.

I just meant for a quick fix so I could still drive it while the compressor is down.
yeah, that's what I kinda figured, that's why I asked if you were serious about deleting it permanently. I wish I had AC.
