Last night, my leaf pack install went from bad to worse. The drivers side weld nut broke. I "thought" I had broke it loose, and was working it back a forth while cutting the bolt. All of a sudden I heard that snap sound that gives you that feeling something bad has just happened. Had to cut the frame on that side too ... re-weld a nut inside and weld the frame back up. But, after several hours of removing the old springs and repairing the frame rail, the new packs were in. Tonight, everything is back together.
But, just to keep things par, I am going to have to order some boomerang shackles (TNT). I read where the RE 1461's were designed to work with them, but I was hoping I could use my stock shackles. The stock ones don't work without bouncing off the rear bumper header panel ...
But, life is good! Nice to have good rear springs.

The last time I had them off, I noticed both main leafs had a small crack started. That was a real concern of course. Both main's were also severely "wrapped". Here is a pic ...Ramsey said:thanks for reminding me why i love the south.
