where q is the heat exchange between the reaction and its surroundings and W is work done (either by the system on the suroundings or the suroundings on the system)
this comes from W=Fd where W= work F= force d= distance
therefore W=-PΔV where W=work, P=pressure, and ΔV=change in volume
then there is the enthalpy equations for gasses
ΔE=ΔH-Δ(PV)
=ΔH-Δ(nRT)
=ΔH-RTΔn
where ΔE = change in energy, ΔH = change in heat, P = pressure, V = volume, n = number of moles of stubstance, R = 8.314J/K*mol, and T = Temperature...
all of this is from 2 sections - the test is on 5 chapters - each with 5 sections...
im going to kill myself...

Pay attention to those continuity equations, Ranger. You will be glad you payed attention when Thermo rolls around.
