Spent the day pulling up carpet and tack strips at my house so when the company we pick to put in the laminate floor in comes in, they just have to put it in to save money. Got one quote, three bedrooms and the living room, 6k. Going to see what the local company will cost us on Monday. I know that stuff was expensive versus carpet but it was a couple thousand more then I thought it might be.

Save yourself some $$$ and do it yourself, laminates easy to lay.

If I didn't mind staying where we are, I would. I just want to get back home as soon as possible because my father in law isn't bad, but my mother in law can be frustrating at times. We are doing the floor prep so we are saving money there. The company that came yesterday could have the floor in by Saturday, going to another two stores tomorrow to get prices. I put it down in a bedroom on a mission trip in 2010, but it would take me a week or more to get it done on my own with my work schedule.

Sometimes Time out ways money. I did a 15x15 room in 5 hours my first time excluding ripping carpet and tack strips out. I mad a few mistakes but nothing an extra strip of baseboard wouldn't cover. We traded car payments for the floor in the office but it needed a lot of substrate work and I didnt have time.

Its fun mindless work for the most part, much like mowing the lawn.

Was told it runs hot. Gonna drain coolant today and flush with water and go from there. Hoping it's something small and not a cracked head. If it is a head I got one sitting here that I got from altrocker.

And have you done the last iOS update?

My tat is updated but my iOS isn't and no log in issues.

Job offer accepted...we will officially be Iowa/MWC chapter residents again. I will be moving Sept 17th. Melissa will follow a month later. Our house will be going up for rent so that give us till November to find a good tenant. Its a hell of a lot to think about, but its also very exciting.

well apparently craigslist scams go beyond purchasing items that don't exist..got this reply to an inquiry i sent about a rental home:

This has been happening in the Louisville area for a while now.....they get the deposit and run. Then the new "renters" get pissed with the real owners.....
