Not always. This is why we do not take trade-ins. Been burnt both by taking a trade and one of our cars being traded off that still have a note on them. I have taken a few of my cars back from top new car stores, fun times.

I only get loans from local credit unions that keep the title locally and not states away. When I traded the truck/trailer for the first RV, I went to the bank, told them my plan and they said I had 30 days to get them the title for the RV and redo the loan against the RV from the truck.
Knowing that Rew's truck was older, I've had trouble trying to finance an older truck for a good interest rate, so local might not have been an option, but you'd think the bank would love to transfer that loan to a newer vehicle.

The flights are delayed and it is never their fault.

Denver area sure is purdy, and the mountains about 5 miles away from where I am staying look like there would be some damn good wheeling....and they are looking for someone to do the same thing I do at my plant....
