Ben your dad told me he was scared the HF would blow sand all over the place.

mac 'he sounds like ben too' gyvr
It does. We have one in the rehab shop. We have redone the seal on the window twice. I keep hoping a good one shows on our surplus lists.

I should have mentioned we used 60/40 sand in it. It might not be as bad with something more corse or walnut shells.

Put a good shop vac on it to suck out the dust and you won't have much dust, this worked for me.

This, I ended up running my shop vacation on the designated port n ran a layer of gorilla tape around the hose to seal it to the port, got by great. I haven't had any window leaks yet n I have probably 50 hours use on it thus far.

Did you guys use just a normal shop vac with it? Didn't know if it would be bad for a normal type shop vac with course sand and all

I just used my standard no frills 10 gallon shop vac that is like 10yrs old. Standard filter, nothing fancy at all.

Your sand will fall I to the recycling pit, the vac just takes care of the dust.

Thanks all for help. Will be looking into the hf unit some more then

I placed a water trap at the compressor and another where the line hooked into the cabinet.

Did having 2 keep the moisture out better than having just one trap?

9k, but open to cash offer. Has 67k on it I believe. Thinking about a 7k cash in hand offer :D

Not bad for what it is. Find a parts truck for tbe 5.3/6.0 and swap everything. Lots of wiring to chase the water out of but would be a 20-30k rig if done right with the correct axles and tires

There is a rolled 4wd tahoe w 5.3/4l60e combo locally, thinking can get cheap. Even if this jku doesn't work out, ill pull the ls n keep in the shop for a future project.

Just keep the hoe and make it an offroad buggy with a chopped body.

More work n ifs to mess with...n it's bigger. I want a jku that's streetable n a v8 is a bonus.

I can only sleep in a car when I'm driving.

mac 'can't sleep on planes either' gyvr

Yeah, me too.

I did manage to sleep in our tour bus in Costa Rica, by the 8th or 9th day the driver had done nothing to make me nervous, and a few things that impressed the hell out of me .

Spent the day wheeling in the mountains by Cottonwood AZ, thunderstorms all around but only got rained on a little at the start and end

Combination of jacked up sleep life and heart burn has me wide awake in a dark room watching dumb shit on tv at 1:30 in the morning

Should be as easy as trading the jeep title for the truck title at the bank if it has a lien against it. :dunno:
