Speaking of this weekend, I got a few pictures of you going down the tight turn hill NaB.

Do after this weekend trip i realized keeping the XJ as a DD might not be the best idea. 13MPG isnt horrible for in town driving, but i drive about 350 a week on average. Also, its making more noises and vibrations which has me discouraged. Once again Im on the search for a new DD. I can either go cheap gas saving car or a pick up/tow rig. My buddies 06 Sierra 4x4 gets about 19 MPG highway/15 city, and pulls his race car just fine on an open trailer. Then again my boss's 08 accord is comfy, civilized and sips gas (but slow as hell with that 4 speed auto). Trying to find which way to go.
Either a mod 2000s K1500 or a newer midsize sedan. The Kias look pretty promising with their 10 year warranty. Decisions decisions.

Buy Kmans XL, its cheap, will be a better ride than a p/u or eco box and haul your XJ with no problem. I have a 8.1 2500 XL that I DD and love it.

This. The 5.3 will do fine for Jeep hauling. You will want to beef up the rear suspension a bit, the 1/2 tons are built for comfort and not load capacity. A big trans cooler will be your friend as well. Plus you can sleep in the back.

You know I will mang! As it is looking right now, I have been in contact w/ B-Rad and he may pick it up for me and meet me part way to shorten my drive. If I make the drive all the way out, I will give ya a shout and maybe we can get a little M&G put together. I know Johnny Ray said he was down for a road trip. :thumbup:

Camille only shook her head, not even a single cuss word.....I am getting her trained Case told me it would be a good rig for him to have.....and he is just about 10 yrs old. So in Jeeper language, that is about the right amount of time to build a rig and finally have it where you want it by the time he gets his license.

if I read the bill they just passed correctly you just went constitutional carry and expanded your stand your ground laws to include any place you can legally carry a firearm.

The Missouri legislature passed a bill lifting the permitting requirement for the concealed carry of firearms on Friday.

The bill passed in a 114 to 36 vote in the House and a 24-8 vote in the Senate, with Republicans generally supporting the measure and Democrats generally opposing it. The vote came on the last day of Missouri’s legislative session and despite a last minute effort by gun control activists to pressure lawmakers against the move.

Now Gov. Jay Nixon (D.) will decide whether or not to sign the measure into law.

The bill would allow any law-abiding adult who can legally posses a firearm to carry a firearm concealed on their person, without having to obtain any additional permit. It would also extend “castle doctrine” protections to house guests and remove requirements that somebody in a public place retreat before using deadly force to protect themselves from an attacker they reasonably believe is threatening their life.

Gun rights activists celebrated the move and called on the state’s governor to sign the bill into law.

“With Governor Nixon’s signature, Missourians will have several options when it comes to protecting their families and homes,” Lars Dalseide, an NRA spokesman, told the Washington Free Beacon. “Hopefully the governor won’t buckle when the Bloomberg gun control machine makes him decide between political capital and the safety of his constituents.”

Gov. Nixon has not yet announced whether he will sign or veto the bill, but other Missouri Democrats have harshly criticized the legislation.
