Morning Cheesey...never in my life has daylight savings time f-ed up my sleep so badly. Could be the rainy weather too but I am super tired again

My first shift at work messed up my sleep pattern. When I first got full time, I worked Monday and Tuesday 8:30pm to 4:30am, Wednesday 4pm to Midnight and Saturday and Sunday 4:30am to 2:30pm. On top of that I also worked at least Thursday Friday for five hours each during the day at a part time job. That went from August of 2004 to August of 2005 when I got my m-f 4-midnight shift. On weekends, I would walk around the station to stay awake during paid programming or cartoons (not good ones either). There was some strange people who walked by the station in the overnight hours. One Sunday morning, I seen someone standing at the front door via the security camera. He was there for a long time so I went to see if he needed help. I got to the front door and when I heard his voice, I realized who he was. There was a show cheeseman might know of called US Farm and Field report. Back then, it was hosted by Max Armstrong and Samuel Orienson out of Chicago. Max had family in the area and was on his way home and wanted to watch the show. He knew my station ran it and was going to watch it through the door. When I realized it was him, I had him come in and sit where I sit to watch it. Later that week, a box showed up with one of his diecast tractors he signed and a letter thanking me for letting him in to watch the show.

Talk about sleep patterns when you work all night then work all day then work all night, then work part of a day then work all night, then part of the day, then half a night and then all day then the afternoon, then day, then all night...

Some of you aholes saw this on the facespace. I went for a procedure Thursday night woke up Sunday morning strapped to a bed with a machine doing my breathing. Some very scary stuff has been occurring. I appreciate the messages of encouragement and reinforcement. Remember it's just a silly Jeep club. Hug your, kids, make the wives remember why they wanted to be with you specifically!

This is how I used to operate...when that's all you know, your body tolerates a lot more variation. You really don't have a sleep schedule and back then I never noticed time changes because time was pretty much irrelevant. Now that I'm on a fixed schedule it hurts a lot more...I guess I've become a pansy now that I'm working a 9-5

So just going to 9-5 made you a pansy?

;)

Sometimes when the alarm goes off, I have to think about whether it's AM or PM...

Back in the day I was usually pretty aware except the days where I'd hit 36 hours straight being awake...then I had no concept of time whatsoever. I don't miss it, but those were some sweet paychecks

I used to work 12 hour nights (6p-6a) on a rotating shift. There was a couple of times where I had to think about how long I had been up. Caught myself at 48 hours more than once.
