wife likes the "clean" 98 gmc. i don't like that's its 2wd when there is a 4wd chevy with less miles for the same price. but the 4wd is probably not showing a bunch of rust.

looking for thoughts, comments, opinions, and votes on the 5 links i posted:confused1

im kinda digging the blue 98 chevy 4wd

Stay away from the v6. It's not an unreliable engine just not worth the mile or two it'll save you in mpg to warrant the lack of power. I'd also steer clear of anything non LS that's not a 5.7ltr or the 454. Same opinion. The 4.9, and 305ci engines are turds for all they'll save you in milage in a full size truck. On the LS motors there's not a whole lot of difference in the power from a 4.8ltr to a pre 04 5.3. If you're only planning on occasionally towing, or never towing with it then either would be fine. Obviously if you're planning on towing then go with a 5.3 or if you can find the super rare 6.0 in the 1500 chassis you'll be happier.

Just pulled the trigger on a new Hobart 210 mvp. I liked my miller 135 just fine, but the option to use a spool gun and learn how to repair aluminum is something I've wanted to do for a while. I have no use for a tig and a lot of boat repair shops use a mig/spool gun combo for boat repairs...

Why, was your post menopausal wife's plan terminated because it did not offer prenatal and "wellbaby" health care coverage too?
****n' morons...

Pretty much......

My insurance costs were not that bad because I don't have a lot of doctors appointments or issues that need close attention and my part on my check wasn't bad. That was until I put my daughter on mine (it went from 70 some to 137 a check but she is worth it), still waiting to see our cost from our three night hospital stay with her. I don't know if in patient is 250 a day plus 15% or 250 per stay and 15%. The last part won't be so bad.

Thats explains it! I think thats the model my dad just picked up before Christmas. So far he likes it, first mig welder he's had, but he uses it for installs of doors and windows with a generator right off his pickup.

I vote for a 3/4t with the 6.o in it or even the 8.1. Better to have more truck then less.

I love my Hobart 210 handler, does everything i need.

I had the 8.1 if you are going to do any dd'ing then I would not get the 8.1 or 6.0. but gas is cheap right now.....
