And it happened in teh post season!

well i start my new job as an electrical/mechanical technician on Monday 6:30am.

its been one hell of an interesting summer. i got my 1st real job washing dishes at 14 and have never been without a job. now i just went 101 days with no job(6 of which i worked at my old job). although i screwed up and put my money in a hole, i got to spend the entire summer playing at home dad and have had some amazing times with my 2yr old daughter. that said, not a single bill was ever paid late and the family took 3 trips(just have a hefty credit card bill to pay down now)
I do regret leaving the wind farm, but life goes on and its time to take the next step.
this place actually pays more!
i don't see myself working here forever but it is a great first step opportunity to get some hands on experience and knowledge, also they have a lot of PLC stuff that i get to learn for free and that stuff is what everyone wants to see on your resume. so this place should help me find a pretty decent gig in 3 to 5 years.

anyways, im rambling like altrocker and using parenthesis like (th), time to go.

also...going from EST to pacific time is a mind *&$k...I woke up at 4am wide awake after going to bed at 8:30 pm. running evaluation booths for continuing education credits for a bunch of physicians today. as brilliant as most doctors are, some of them are pretty dumb.

"Hey...I'm trying to sign up for evaluations and it WON'T work...what is wrong with your program????"

"Sir...you spelled your name wrong on your registration."

"Oh"

this will be most of my day...

When you get sick of IL let me know, we just lost a guy to a bottle of Capt.

Apparently he fell on his face while pushing buttons on an HMI.
