Didn't we talk about this? Nobody thinks they'll get old, until one day WHAM - hit by the old truck...

Been old for a while, not quite dead yet, but if I don't do the equivalent of running a 5k every day, I need to watch what I eat.

In other news, went to the newer LKQ yard in Chicago Heights this afternoon. Drove through east CH to get there, makes most ghettos look luxurious.
Didn't get shot or jeepjacked, clientele there seemed more white, but less friendly than at my regular Blue Island LKQ. Free admission was nice, but not a great selection of XJs, picked up a couple not-rare parts for the new 96.

Stopped by the Blue Island yard with not much time before they closed, just to see what they had. My stamp for free admission at CH saved me the $2 admission fee there. Found a 96 that mostly looked better than anything I have, for grill parts, a couple of older Laredos that I can get some bumper end caps from, and a 99 I'm gonna grab the intake manifold from.

Any MJ specific parts I should grab from it? No tailgate, rear bumper is trashed, body obviously very rusted...
 
Mmm...oreos are like crack. Can't buy them in our house, they disappear to fast here too. Melissa still hasn't caught on to the fact that is she buys something I like to eat, she better get her share quick or hide it. Even after 10 years she still gets mad if I find something stashed away and eat it...
 
Have not had an appetite for about a week now, not sure what's going on but I'm down about 10 pounds......still eating but about a third of what I typically eat.

tail lights
rear flares AND the plastic inner fender bits.
B pillar interior pieces
headliner
b pillar speaker brackets if it has them
HEADLINER!
the carpet covered piece that covers the back wall
seat
rear glass if it's a slider.

those are the money making bits.
PM shortxjdoug and see what he may need.

oh damn, I just saw the eliminator sticker.
bucket seats (cause flip forward)
and the brackets/center console. They are different than the XJ ones. Hell, I'll buy the center console bits and the seats/brackets.

we only mess with the double stuff Oreos in my house. regular ones are for people on a diet. if im going into a coma its gonna be a double the cream filling coma damnit!
 
Dont say that. My colds going on 2 weeks now, thought it was kicked over the weekend but keep coughing up shit and snotty nose(more then normal as i smoke).
Hate the dr but might end up on Tuesday if not better over the weekend

Wish you had posted before I left, I coulda checked for all that stuff. I did find the tailgate leaning against a minivan nearby, straight but very rusty. Noticed the bedliner attached to it, and sure enough, there's one in the bed also. And that's the rear glass in it...

Doug has 2 panes from the ugly trucks slider, but needs a third.
They are curved and not available from the aftermarket.

You have to use wire to saw them out because AMC done urethaned them into the back wall of the cab.

bedliner is sweet, but I'm trying to get rid of a shortbed bedliner already.
I'm longbed for life.

Was a slider, looking at my other pictures the passenger side is the one in the bed, can't tell about the other pieces, and of course I can't remember.

I might be able to get back there tomorrow after I meet the drywall taper and tile setter at the current bathroom remodel.

Problem though... Those with bedliners have totally rotten beds.
 
The Medes the dr gave me have me feeling like I have drank about 6 beers.....thinking about making a drink.
