Thought about getting the recall done on my moms 98 but hers is in great shape so didn't bother. Thought about taking it off then make jeep put a new one on but too much trouble.

I 'think' the regulators are the same but it's been a few years since I messed with any.

evap system question.

if I apply smoke to the intake manifold, will it show leaks at the evap canister under the body? there be a leak somewhere back there and I was going to make a DIY smoke machine out of a paint can. I strongly suspect it's where the rubber and metal vent line are joined. It's damp, but I want to be sure before I go monkeying around back there.

Make sure you either ground the vent valve or pinch off the hose
