Speaking of projects. Any one know of a lower profile 4.0 oil pan that still holds 6 qts? Not too keen on building one but will if I must. Axel clearance is not an issue so i dont need such a deep narrow sump.

I don't know if they share the same dimensions on the lower half of the block.
You'd think AMC, being broke ass AMC, would have done that so they could use all the 258 pans and tooling.

I know that eagle pans are weird because they shaped them to fit around the IFS.

more square up front with a real deep sump at the rear that's a big box.
Would at least be easier to cut one up than the more rounded 4.0 pan.

That looks way easier to work with then the 4.0. I really only need it to be 2" shorter over all but 3 or 4 would be gravy...
