What kind of antenna do you have attached to that thing?

I may break down and get one of those.

It's a Browning NMO magnetic mount. The cable is just like a CB. At the end is an adapter to go from the cable to the top of the radio. I don't remember the name of the connector, I can send it to you.

I'm into the mount, antenna and adapter for about 50. I also got the car adapter for the radio so I don't have to worry about the battery and the little speaker/mic was 5 bucks.

Interesting. I would bet I could find a vehicle mount antenna in the parts bin at work.

Bad weekend for jeeps in my family. Nephews XJ motor finally died and my Moms 98 ZJ water pump went out 50 miles from home. Sent the tow truck after her as it was easier(not cheaper) then me fighting traffic with the trailer.

Moms AAA was not playing nice today, faster to have my tow service get it then she can bill AAA for a refund.

In my line of work when you pay your tabs on time you get great service, unlike 90% of the other shops like mine in the area...

Y'all have a safe time at the Crawl this year. Not making it this year.

I'm getting really tempted to just gas up the expedition and drive all the way down there solo. Anyone got a free passenger seat at the crawl? And how bad is camping down there?

Primitive camping is a nice grassy area. Bathrooms are nice. I am not sure on open seats, but it seems like there are usually some, could post in the crawl event forum and ask.

Baby K due 1/20, had a good heart beat.

Spent the day up tower. 6 month maintenance going on at my current location. Lots to do up there. Took 6 hours with 6 guys in one tower. That being said, 3 of us were rookies.
Same thing tomorrow except goin to split the crew into 2 groups of 3.
Still pretty damn hard to get up that ladder. At least this time I didn't almost puke.

Never had a job were I had to come home and scrub the grease and oil out of my skin. I'm sure having a "dirty" job will get old eventually.
