What does the 4L60E need to live in a tow rig?

A 4L80e swap.

The 1500hd Chevys were made to get around certain states' licensing laws IIRC. 3/4 ton truck with a half ton badge.

We love our Yukon 2500. Kim gets 12-13 around town and probably 8-10 towing depending on if it's the Jeep or camper. The 6.0 is a good towing engine if you're not afraid to rev it.

Define big tire? That's a very generic statement. It all depends on the truck and the gearing.

Should have added more info. If youvtake rhe time and money to regear and tune then run what ever you want. I went from the stock 245s to 265s and wouldnt want any taller unless i went to 4.56s(have 3.73s now), but not much more then a 305. This is on my 02 Yukon XL.

But everyone is different and some want the bro dude look.

Nate I gotta be able to sit 4 humans and two pups (the pups can go in the bed with a cap) and it will be my DD.
I think I'm pointed in the right direction though.
Thanks for all the help everyone! :)

Yukon's are for soccer moms. I'm a bro dude, so I rock 315's on my powerjoke. It did take a little lower end power compared to the 295's that were on there. I didn't lose any MPG though and it goes down the Eway awesome.

Typical internet poster. Ask's for advice and doesn't follow any of it!! :kissyou:

Looking at making a trailer to haul the Jeep but would like some suggestions on it. My plan is to get a trailer that is long enough to mount our pop up camper onto the front of it and still have room for jeep and maybe a quad on the back. Now I know that the maximum legal width I can be is 9ft. I can either mount the camper length wise on the trailer or width wise on the trailer. Camper length is 9ft so if I mount it width wise I would be at maximum width. Just don't know which way would be better to mount. Just don't know how it would be towing it even with the tow mirrors on the excursion.

I have 2 trailers that I'm currently looking at that are 26ft and 33ft long. Depending on which way I mount camper will determine which trailer to try for. What is everybody opinion on this idea.

I have thought about this as well someday. I thought about having a GN built and set my fifth wheel on the front. Your talking about a 42+ foot trailer at that point though. 14 feet of that I don't need if we go camping without the jeep. Plus a custom trailer or buying a pre built GN that is big enough is going to cost around 5k on the cheap end. So my newest dream is a smaller pop up for around 1k on a trailer, GN or bumper pull that is 30ish feet long and around 2.5k.

I'm anxious to see how this works for you.

k "big dreamer" man
