I think it's safe to say that the MWC had a very fun winter. Proof of that will be showing up in a couple months all over the state.

Don't worry everyone.... I'm not pregnant...

I'm just fat! :D

I was somewhat seeing it a little their way when it comes to reprogramming the computers until this part.

What GM, and even tractor companies like John Deere, argues is that you, as an owner, don’t actually own your car. Rather, you’re sort of just borrowing it for an extended amount of time and paying for the rights to use the technology.

Then it went off the rails. The way I read it, they don't want to make it illegal to repair parts like spark plugs, etc., but more flashing the computers to (possibly) work better. Of course, this will be like the drug war, make it illegal, but it will still happen no matter what, just underground.

They are already making cars to the point you can't just take it to your neighborhood shop with smart keys and security measures. Smart keys alone make it so you have to take it to the dealer for an issue. I was looking at a Nissan Rogue a few months ago (no car payment made me decide it wasn't work one) that had no key and just the key fob. Sure, it is under warranty for a short time, but imagine the repair/replacement cost on that. My first car had no security measures. My second car had a type of security measure with the key (but it failed and didn't work exactly right). My Accord probably has something, but I have no idea what.
