Important

Craigslist was bringing the heavy with the idiots this weekend. Listed my gooseneck trailer, my car trailer and a kids race dirt bike...all adds said "cash only, no trades". First 20 texts were asking if I wanted to trade for anything or if I would ship and they paypal me funds. My 2 replies....#1: I only trade for cash, #2 Go F**K yourself. But as of today I believe I did find a buyer for everything! :D

You are such a liar, I am guessing no one offered up a night with a midget.....

valid point....or no offers of top shelf blow or hookers either. Cant believe that the guy on the GN trailer is giving full asking price, his bank called about 5 minutes ago and were issuing the check to me and wanted to know the total amount...first sale that I was not haggled on price off of CL. getting rid of 2 trailers to get one new one. And my days of loaning out trailers is over. This one trailer will fit in the shop or shed and will be out of sight, out of mind. The 2 trailers I am selling have 75% of their damage from people borrowing them and tearing them up. I am going with a 20'-22' 14K tilt trailer....will haul vehicles or my skid steer easily.

the rules for borrowing my stuff:

I come with it, and if it's inconvenient for me you wait.

very few people get to just come and grab my stuff and use it. Maybe 5 people, and 4 of those are family members.

Just wait, the best is when they start asking for more pictures.
I tell them to come look at it.
You have to mean to them, they are all idiots!
About the only time I ask for more pictures is when the idiot selling the item takes one half ass blurry pic. I'm not going to drive an hr plus only to find I'm not interested in half destroyed/worn out shit they're trying to get rid of. The way I look at it is if you can't take the time to take quality pics, then you're not that interested in selling it.

This

It goes both ways. Don't waste my time as a buyer either.

I used to loan my trailer out all the time. Now there are a select few that are allowed to borrow it.

After I put the third set of axles under it, I finally got smart.

mac 'I can screw stuff up well enough on my own' gyvr

I owned my car trailer for 2 weeks and someone walked in the office asking me if they could borrow it to go to Florida to pick up their mustang from their dad's house.

I told him my rental fee was $2295 plus tax. He chose to go in a different direction.

I usually don't bother with ads without pictures. 5 minutes with good grammar and a couple pictures goes a long way to show that someone took care of the stuff they owned. When I bought the wheels and tires for the truck, there was a specific description with pictures, including a tread depth gauge. All I did was call him and ask him how to get to his house.

Here is my current ad.
Pretty self explanatory.
Some Dbag texts me today offers me $50.00
Then he asks for more pictures.
I said pictures of what?
I counter with $100.
Then he wants me to deliver it to his house.

I am going to start Sean's List where you have to pass a simple common sense and intelligence test before you can even look at the site,

What's really needed is a common sense and intelligence test before you're allowed to reproduce. That would eventually solve so many problems besides just morons on Craigslist.

I don't even mess with Craigslist anymore. Buddy's send me links to adds and if I'm interested I ask them to do the leg work and dealings. I deal with more then enough low life DBs every day at the car lot.
