meh, test drive and the short came back.

it's cursed.

Gauge cluster acting normal?

Mine developed a short that made one hell of a draw on the battery. Killed a brand new off the shelf battery over night. What was happening was they would come back to life after the Jeep was shut off. Meaning, turn Jeep off, gauges go to 0, then would come back to a value of their own. No lights, just the gauges.

Something I didn't notice until I stopped to pay attention to everything one day. Normally I shut the Jeep off and jump out...

Tracking down driveline grinding post 8.8 swap last weekend. Rear DS was too short after the swap, so I was hoping that too would take care of the grinding (old axle was in such bad shape I could only faintly hear the grinding). Pulled front shaft today and grinding is still there.

Guess the tcase comes out next.

Why do we mess with these stupid pieces of crap?

I have a question, with my set up (4.5" lift and 31's) what trails could I do beside green? I would like to explore the other side of the park (non quarry side) if I could at Badlands? Don't get me wrong, green is fun, but I want to go to other trails now. What could I do at Redbird?

Anyting you want.

Just be prepared to ding it up.

I went through all the "Easy" trails and 2-3 of the "More Difficult" trails they have today and didn't bump into anything. A couple small twigs here and there on the roof but nothing major, although it did get a little tight in a few areas for sure.

Ok the following events that follow are 100% true as I remember them.

Every Saturday I take my family to church, just seems easier than getting everyone up and going Sunday morning.

Tonight my wife and I were sitting in the sanctuary talking and we were talking about how in general I just don't like most people...... Well the sermon turns out to be about loving where you are and the people around you. One of the examples the preacher gave was he was at a dinner and there ended up being a woman there hard down on luck everything was falling apart and he happened upon her, ended up giving her some money and it changed her life.....in the end we are put where we should be for a reason.

So we are in the car after church talking about how it was weird we were talking about not liking people then having that sermon.

Stopped at gas station on way home to get a redbox movie and someone was already at the kiosk when we got there so I went in to get my son a doughnut for morning, came back out and figured my wife had already gotten the movie.... Nope, so I wait out there while someone else gets their movie and a woman walks up hysterical that she has no money to put gas in her car because her husband took all her money and left her....... So I ended up giving someone money that I never would have given a second thought to before.

I get in the car after the woman gives me the biggest hug I have ever had and my wife and I just look at each other and she starts laughing her ass off.

Totally weird night.

My question is, was she hot and did you get her number...you know, for research purposes and all...

Since the flu has struck around our place, it gave me a chance to hang in the shop w/Case and we messed with the C10 for a bit on Sunday. I started referring to it as "Inner fender Sunday" since that was the bulk of the work. Just a shot of the pass side once we got it in and then I reworked the fender to door gap since the body shop had it WAY out of whack. It is now within the specs that it came from the factory with.

Looks like I'm headed to Sheboygan on Friday to pick up my engines. At 400lbs/ea I'm picking up 5 and there might be an additional 5 by the time Friday rolls around (if other school can't/don't get them). Looks like I need to find a trailer...
