Important

My question is, was she hot and did you get her number...you know, for research purposes and all...

I'd a asked her what she did to make her husband so mad. Then I'd a told her to go back home, make a pie, and perform some wifely duties, then perhaps he would not be mad at her any more.

it's dumb.

something is pulling mad amps on the IOD circuit and it's grounding through the dome lights.

I tried to be lazy this weekend and just took out the defrost relay, and that fixed it. I checked it after running it, after turn signals and hazards. Anything I could think of.

Drove it, dome lights came back on faint.

I'm just going to have to start stripping panels and inspecting the harness. it's obviously got a chafed wire or something that's randomly grounding to the body. I suppose somehow the bulbs are acting as current limiting resistors or it would pop fuses.

Currently I just pull the IOD fuse when I park, or it kills a battery with the quickness.

It's getting old.

That sucks. At least it doesnt catch on fire.....

My brother fell out of bed drunk a few times. I'd die laughing when I would hear him fall out of his bed. In other news I did a thing today. I bought 33's, they aren't pizza cutters and they aren't BFG's.

just did ~150 miles this past saturday in the UP michigan, trails were not all that great because of the amount of traffic, (northern wisconsin is closed). I have a 00' skidoo 700 as a bigger guy I could use some more power and longer track for off trail, I got stuck a couple times in powder this weekend. The 00' is a low rider position that kills your back, my next one will be a rider forward position.

mine is the black and yellow

550 is one of the smaller sleds out there, might be a good starter sled but I could see you wanting to upgrade shortly, if I were you I would get at least a 700

I had about $200 into this weekend (fuel, food, hotel, trail pass) slightly cheaper then a jeep weekend...

this is the sled in question (the actual one is the same model)...its definitely a more modern seat position and from the 30 minutes or so i spent zipping around on it, it is very comfy to ride. i'm a big guy too, but i really don't think i would ever want more than a 550-600. I used to ride a 600 triple zrt back in the day and it went faster than i really ever wanted to go. i rode my buddies mach-z 800 all the time and really didn't ever feel like it was something i needed. i kind of snowmobile like a grandpa. i also love the fact that the reverse doesn't add any weight...just push a button and the engine starts up in reverse. i picked the front and back up fairly easily so that is also a plus to me...if i can get the money together by the summer i may look into it, but again, its going to keep sitting there so maybe ill just try to throw a lowball offer in before next fall. who knows

true.

the ones that randomly catch fire always keep you on your toes. I pay an insurance premium for a garage in the basement for that very reason.

needless to say I haven't left this pile in the garage unattended or overnight with the battery hooked up.

I had sleds back when I was young and stupid. The amount of money far outweighed the fun for the four months a year I could use them. The best way to describe them is a winter boat. Best day in a snowmobilers life is the day they sell them and get out.

QFT!
I was big into sleds in the 90s. I sold them all in 2000 when we moved to FL.
I got one, then my wife had to get one, then we needed a trailer, then one for the boys to share, then a second one for the boys, then we needed a four place trailer, then we needed a Suburban to haul all of our stuff in, and it goes on and on.
Kind of like Jeeping....

Last sled I rode was in the mid-90s.

It was one of my buddies. We set up a track in his families field. We raced for time on the track.

I had sleds as a kid. Bought one at 22 and only had it one winter and then sold it. It is a whole lot like jeeping. And I couldn't afford three expensive hobbies when kids started coming into the picture (jeep, fourwheelers and snowmobile). I had to choose and lucky for all of you I chose my Jeep. :D

What style jam switches are on that? The old style were just a single hot wire that ran to the switch and poked through the jam. When the door opened spring tension pushed the switch to ground.
If your door isn't properly adjusted the switch could be partially grounded.

Try going through one at a time unplugging the jam switches.

I haven't had a done light bulb in the jeep for 5+ years.

I finally tracked down the problem with the Dodge, it was the lift pump. I was told by one 18 yr old "ASE Certified" mechanic at the Dodge dealer  that it was the tranny not functioning right. Brought it to the tranny shop and had it completely gone through and they said it was perfectly fine and had been rebuilt and upgraded at some point. It was the tranny shop that told me the truck had a code for erratic fuel pressure to the rail. So long story short, $100 from Rock Auto and 25 minutes later it runs perfect. Good thing we caught it when we did, because the lift pump going out can take out your injector pump and that is the $1500+ one! Now I need to decide if I want to keep it and put new tires on it or just sell it as is.....decisions, decisions......

Local friend of mine posted that pic on Facebook last night / this morning. Weird

Id like to own that trailer! A step deck w/ beaver tail is on my wish list for next year. They are way more universal than the stubby standard deck trailer we currently have.
