Important

Looks like neighbor is getting ready to drop a big ass tree, 10' from power line. I will not be thankful if I lose power due to stupidity.

got a bird in the oven. side dishes ready to go in. and a keg of murican red ale tapped. if you didn't make t-day plans come on over!

happy thanks giving MWC fam.

Family took a trip to Barbados so I'm spending Thanksgiving working on my 4runner. Draining out the 3 year old gas and putting in a new fuel pump. Planned on removing the full hydro mounts and cutting the square tube for my front d/s but I think I'm burnt out. Ill spend some vacation time on it next week.

Sarah and I went to ihop for lunch. We both work tonight (2.5x pay for me) so I am not complaining. Thinking about going to try to pick up a walther p22 tomorrow on a Black Friday sale at a lgs so Sarah can have something comfortable to shoot at the range.

Working a double today. 2p-6a

Tax man will like it.

The walther p22 is a good gun. Suzi has one. They can be very temperamental on what ammo will feed thru them.

did not care for the p22.

Would recommend a classic ruger mkIII.

as always, don't just buy a handgun for your wife, let her pick out the one that feels best.

I like that it is comfortable for her to handle and she knows how to use it very well. Now of course she does want to move up to a 9mm.

I had one before I met Sarah, traded it for a shotgun but I liked it. A LGS has them on sale for $249 and if I could get a Ruger MKIII for that price, I would. Sarah doesn't really like to shoot most of what I have other then my 22 rifle. This would be something we both could shoot.

My wife shoots .45 acp and .30-06.

You have to teach them marksmanship and then the caliber doesn't matter.

I would agree.

Jennie carries a lightweight .40SW that's quite snappy.

she did not like the m39, but hell, even I don't run more than ten rounds through that thing in a day.

I feel like your wife could handle more caliber than you...

I think my next pistol will be the new glock 42 (I think that's it), small frame .380, single stack 7 rounds I think, tho they are supposed to be coming out with a 9mm of the same.

Need a better pistol to have with me all the time, the kel-tec .380 is a pile.

I'd stick with 9mm, even if it meant one less round.

.380 is expensive, and there are tons more choices in 9mm.

the LC9 is a 1/4 inch taller than the G42, holds 7 9mm rounds and is slightly skinnier. might be worth looking at.

Happy thanksgiving everyone! Eat lots, drink lots only if you're driving the couch!

Fore 'be safe, have fun' Wheeler

I didn't have to meet captain early start on a trail today. Just camping to camp.

This might surprise you, but we have policy that says what we can and can't carry...even when not at work. That and once a year we have to qualify with what we carry off-duty once a year...unless its a 9mm glock. I don't know if the LC9 is approved.

I can get that G42 for a little over $300 at a local place that gives us a good price. That's probably the biggest reason I want it.

We got new gen 4 glock 17s at work. They let us buy our old gen 3 ones back for a good price.
