Ha...Looks like most of us have been researching the same thing after the fire discussion this weekend.....I think it was Gene that was telling us about the old school manifold cooker he ran across once....looks like on was made for model "T's" at one time.

Interesting what's now in my recommendations after looking at that on Amazon.
The Road Kill Cookbook is not surprising, but How To Poo On A Date?
And even though I've bought lots of jeep parts there, this is the first time they've recommended the Haynes repair manual for Cherokee.

The 95-99 dodge neon four hole versus our one hole injector is supposed to be a good modification for smoothing out the idle. In general it they are supposed to make things smoother.

Flex's new ones are reman'd and he may have had one sticking and allowing additional fuel to the cat where it would ignite, causing the tailpipe pop under heavier load.

The misfire code seems to be generic, my opinion. I don't know how a 1997 could identify an exact cylinder issue unless it senses the injector malfunctioning.

I read once how the system did this, but I'm not remembering now. My FSM's aren't on this machine, but when I get some down time I'll look through them, and post up for the FYI...

did this on saturday. it lasted 7 years. do i just get another stock one or do i upgrade? struggling to find a reason to spend the additional cash on upgrading.

I would definitely upgrade. I'd bet the level of abuse you are laying down now won't allow a stocker to survive another 7 yrs.

Brad told me what he paid from Brian and it was very competitive (read cheaper) and came with the backing plates vs the ones that I bought after moab last year from a big box vendor for the rear of the LJ and I had to buy backing plates separately.

They even came with Timken bearings. I had just bought bearings and seals for my old shafts and that was $50 right there.

I considered stock shafts too, but the stock ones held up through years of beer goggles abuse and a couple years of mine, I figured the axle earned it.

I wouldnt run an alloy usa shaft if you paid me to. Just saying....

But still... Better than stock shafts at least? I don't think I know the history here.

Tapatalk updated over the weekend... and is now completely unusable on my S4. Anyone else having issues? It's the only app that causes problems, doesn't matter what forum I'm browsing with it, it's slow as balls.
