I hate pioneer!!

I like the head unit.
The bluetooth works fantastic.
The sound is good.
I've not even used the fm/am tuner, so I can't comment on that.

but the lack of a mute function from the front panel annoys me. I used it all the time on my old JVC deck. Just tap the volume knob and bam, muted.

was handy at the drivethrough.

just a minor bitch about an otherwise solid head unit.

I HATE their lack of adjustability for sound, they have all these stupid things. What happened to Bass, treble, mid, fade blah blah.

The sound is junk, I've had better luck with Sony and Kenwood

this one has bass treble and fade.
all the normal stuff.

I hate Sony.
I honestly had the best luck with JVC. The one in the Honda is over 8 years old and still works just like new, the majority of those years were in the ugly truck getting beat up.

Yep that's Brian's, he picked up a clean 98 off me last year that he lifted and wants more of an all around wheeler now. And I think he sold that j10 axle.

I started out with rotating the distributor on the Suburban, while watching cam retard with a scan tool. I could correct the ignition timing relative to the crank position, but suspected with how far I had to rotate the dizzy that the chain was stretched and the valve timing was still off. It was still slow and ran like crap. I never would have seriously considered changing a timing chain on anything before, but I'm a believer now, it sounds better and has way more power. Now I'm considering a chain on my ZJ with 298k just to see what happens.

In the process I screwed up my oil pan gasket. I was so pissed off trying to change it this weekend, I was going to track down your number to see if you had any tricks I could use. Ended up dropping the front diff a few inches to get the pan down just a little bit, then I had to fish the gasket down into the pan and under the pickup tube. What a pain.

I dont think I have ever done one of those but it sounds like you did it the way I would have.
It sucks no matter how you do it.
I really dislike laying under a vehicle with oil and coolant dripping on my.
