Anybody know where to get an old school radiator hose with a spring? I've got highway overheating issues and I'm pretty sure it's this 'reinforced' hose without a spring.

Napa used to sell the cheap one with a spring, but I couldn't find one.

I reused the old rusty one.

this is what the google machine came up with.

Mine was super rusty, so maybe should get a new shiny stainless one too. let me know how it fits. 1 1/2 should be the right size.

well...i just got the invoice for the jeep for labor to put it back together. not having it anywhere close to me where i could work on it made it pretty much unavoidable, but i was a little surprised. i could have paid to have it towed 100 miles at $4.50 a mile and it would have been cheaper...

it really sucks...this whole experience has me seriously considering selling the jeep forever just to get a little money back and wash my hands of this whole situation. the grand total is now over $2000...which is more than what my xj is worth. i guess maybe there was more that they had to do then what i was expecting, but they hit me with 4.5 hours of labor at $100 plus new front shocks (the only sell bilsteins). i know some of the transportation and lodging can get rolled into tax write offs since it was transportation to and from work...but in the short term $2000 is a lot of money for us to eat.

lesson learned...when someone tells you that you shouldn't use certain parts because there are issues with, even if you think it will be fine, don't take the chance.

also...thanks for letting me vent over this the last week. if someone can learn from this situation then i guess it was worth it. i'm very happy to be alive and very happy that no one else was with me when it happened, so i don't mean to sound like a grumpy whiner...it just helps having some people who sort of understand the situation i'm dealing with

i've chosen to remove myself from any public discussion about IRO products from this point on, i know plenty of folks who have had good luck with them and i hate pissing matches. josh and jason and myself have stayed very civil on the phone and they ultimately seem like good dudes. that and i don't have any of the parts in that kit on my jeep. there are others on here that do though

It's with the long arm kit

Good to know, I knew if you trust IRO for your lift kit, it would be good enough for my XJ even if it isn't the exact same kit.

Man, that's terrible. May he rest in peace. :(
