Important

Need a little insight from the renix pros on here. Found a Comanche that I might be interested in but the guy says it doesn't run. Said it gets gas but is only getting spark intermittently. I'm not to familiar with the wiring and everything on the renix motors so figured I would ask. Anybody got any ideas to make it start? Says it turns over.

the typical suspects.
Crank sens, coil, icm. Renix will run without a cam sensor (I've unplugged mine and drove down the road before. )
If it has a c101 pull it apart and clean. Could take the coil off of the icm and see if contacts are dirty.
Check cap/rotor.

"Gets fuel" as in the injectors are firing for sure, even when there is no spark, checked with a light?

how much and in what shape is the body?

if cheap and good come to mind just buy it. The electrical gremlins can be fixed. A solid body is money.

The body actually looks decent. Says the floors need redone in it. How much would you offer for it considering it isn't running?

depends. I just paid 1700 for one that was "running" but needed 1000 dollars worth of crap before I could drive it home.

it's pretty much flawless underneath though. If its rusty, I paid 1500 for the first one and daily drove it for 4 years before it got cut up.

I'd offer dude 500 bucks if I thought it could be made to run for less than a few hundred bucks. if the floors need redone I can guarantee the inside of the frame rail doesn't look great. That's the kind of shape the 87 was in and Doug sent me a picture of the framerail smashed where the rust had eaten the bottom.

I typically pick up hopeless basket cases with tons of issues and then hate myself for it when the inevitable happens.

This statement applies to the following: cars, trucks, houses, and women in my life.

The main thing I'm worried about is finding out it's a bigger problem than I planned. I bought an 89 xj last year that didn't run and that turned out to being a bigger project than I thought. It wouldn't run either.

Because of this I say no. Unless I can be convinced otherwise.

Who has bail money for the three? This might not end well with those three together.
