ONE STUPID BOLT holding the cross shaft in and it rounded off.....who's got an extra 29 spline 8.25 laying around? There will soon be a "fix it yourself here's the parts" axle for sale....

I have a chopsaw... it's very nice, but I just got the smaller ($300, not $800) harbor freight bandsaw, because we had one at the last company I worked at, and it was awesome. I was against buying it initially but was very impressed by it after using it for a while, they will go through 6" heavy structural C channel no problem.

My steering has felt a bit loose, so I bought a remanufactured Durango box from Advance Auto, with the discount code Kman posted here the other day, I got it for $129. I should have done this from the beginning.
Easily one of the best things I have done to my MJ. I've been pretending my steering is indestructible since 2010 with only a V8 ZJ tie rod and a Durango box and have had exactly one steering failure... bent the drag link at the pre-existing bent spot. Still drove out of the woods by itself, so now I carry a spare. At least for what I do, no reason for aftermarket steering, I guess.

So looks like all the active MWC people are red already. Anyone not renewed, want a free year?

I don't understand sports ball fanatics. Riot because a team lost/won?

On a different note early Saturday morning the 100 year old Younkers building burnt down here in DSM. I think it was set on purpose to collect Ins and bail out the developer.

An old building catches on fire... the first thing out of everyone's mouth... "its a set-up"

Re-doing old buildings is a sucky, dirty and dangerous business. Alot of things have to be cut/heated/torched or burnt out to be removed.

A major fire like that is huge, huge, huge problem for the developer. The costs associated with the fire alone usually put a developer into bigger problems than he was in before hand.

Well spent the morning in the junk yard going after disk brake brackets. Was going good till I opened up the rear diff cover and find they had welded the rear end and couldn't get the center pin out. All that work for nothing.

Did walk out with a whole bunch of other nick nack parts we needed tho so it wasn't a total loss.

I haven't renewed, but wanted to. Not asking for a free renewal though.
