Not talking about crashes...talking about expiration...

I understand that, but I do not understand how plastic and nylon can expire, like was posted earlier. I think it's insane to spend more money on something that's good today but not tomorrow. Don't crash

run what ya got mac.

my 3 (almost 4) year old sits in a booster and the 7 year old sits in the regular seat in my jeep and a booster in the flex. the jeeps seats are so small i couldn't see my 7 year old sitting in a booster. my kids out grew their car seats really fast, both of them were facing forward before the "age" if not their feet would be damn near resting on the back headrest. If you feel safe using it keep it, if you feel she would be fine/safe moving to a forward early i say do it.

we just threw our kid in the trunk until he could go without a seat.

Just got out of the ER. Apparently I have asthma.

Thought I was having a grabber!

Yea... it sucks. Not sure if I hate that more or less than the front leaf spring eye bolt. I've learned to deal with the front bolts a lot better.

Take the bumper off.

Your next step is determining if the bolt is seized to the shackle eye bushing. If so, it's going to suck. In that case, your basic approach is cutting the bolt on either side of the shackle, between the shackle and the shackle box. The bolt head falls off the outside, and the captured nut with the remaining bolt in it can be removed from the inside. They might be too big to get out, and you'll have to take a reciprocating saw and open up the hole on the back of the frame rail to get it out. At the end of all this your shackle is useless now, for the pain in the ass of pressing in a new bushing I would probably buy a new shackle.

If the bolt is not seized to the shackle, then start with opening the hole on the back of the frame anyway. Then you can stick a thin wall socket over the captured nut, attach a ratchet or breaker bar to hold it, and work the bolt out.

Upon reinstallation you can use a Grade 8 9/16" bolt and nut if you'd like, I can't remember the correct metric size of the original. Then you can install a set of high quality HD Offroad shackle relocation boxes and never have to deal with the captured nut again :)
This was me last night, bolts didn't break, welds didn't break, but the bolt did seize to the sleeve. Ugh.
Driving question. Who drives one handed and who drives two handed? (Street driving)

Both... 1 hand if I am turning a sharp corner (palm on the wheel and spin it), 2 hands otherwise. I feel it gives me more control because the weight of my arm is countered by the weight of the other arm, so I can steer more precisely with less thought. Hands at 9 and 3.

If it is good driving conditions, mostly one handed when driving my car.

Yes, car seats expire. It isn't just due to stuff getting better. Some plastics will break down when receiving continuous UV exposure. So will some nylon materials. Is the breakdown so rapid that the seat will simply fall apart? No. The expiration date is more CYA for the car seat companies using cheap materials. If I had to do it over again and I had a few months after the seat expired. I'd run it as long as their is no accident or fraying/cracking of the seat.

When our oldest was little, there weren't expiration dates on the seats. There wasn't any on beer either. Now there is. Do we get smarter as a society, or just more in tune with how dumb we can be??

Back to my regularly scheduled program of listening to the HVAC bang on my 30 year old furnance and swear, and work on accounting homework.

I drive normally with two or three fingers from my left hand on the steering wheel.

Did this in the truck and trailer and hope to with the RV.

A mix of both, usually one hand.
I left foot brake too...
And no, I don't ride the brakes like a dumb****, foot is on the floor when not braking.

I almost failed my road test when I took it.
6" of snow on the ground and still snowing like a mofo. Was driving Shelleys Jeep in 4wd, one handed, 55mph. The lady kept yelling at me for it.

That was just the first I found. I'm sure other places sell them too. My sister got one for my niece when she was 9 months coz she was a chunky thing.

Alright.. maybe some of you fockers know accounting.. I know I am missing something really simple here...

Its about distribution of cash up liquidation...

Lyle and Fisher are partners, sharing gains and losses equally. They decide to terminate their partnership. Prior to realization, their capital balances are $15,000 and $7,000, respectively. After all noncash assets are sold and all liabilities are paid, there is a cash balance of $16,000.

First, what is the amount of gain or loss on realization. $6k is the loss because of the capital account balances.

Second, How should the gain or loss be divided between the Lyle and Fisher?

Third, How should the cash be divided between them?

Googling this problem yields a link to Clegg... but I am not giving them my credit card number for anything.
