not that i need to be thinking about this at all since we haven't even closed on this house, but i was browsing permits and such in the area that we are living...

if you already have a 2 car garage, would would be a good shop/garage size to have in addition to that? 24 by 30 is 720 sq ft...over 750 is a different permit.

I do all my cages in a 25x25 if you already have a 2 car you should be good w a 24 x30 if you will only be working on one car at a time.

Heard on the radio that they are testing outs using cheese brine to "salt" the roads in some county in IL.

that has to smell cheesy good!

It's usually used on bridges. They have used a corn salt blend for years. Its some nasty stuff for paint. And much more corrosive on unprotected concrete substrate.
Other than a bit of an off color in the tank, you can't tell the difference between it and normally liquid salt mixtures.

My hope is to someday live in the middle of the country. Something like Ar, Tn, Ky. I want a little winter with colder temps and some snow, but only for a couple of months. The north sucks becsuse its winter more than its summer

There's nothing awesome about winter in the south. Rain sucks more than snow.

I didn't mind the rain when I lived in Memphis, but the ice storms sucked. Over an inch of snow usually resulted in everything closing.

I would have loved to stay in Vermont but there are not a lot of Engineering jobs there, hence the reason I am in the midwest.
