Go figure that Ken knows about Trannies!

:D
Flexd' hopefully not the kind with adam's apples' XJ

I hauled so many man trannies around in that stabbin wagon I brought to WF12... then I ended up blowing the tranny in it and scrapped it. Didn't work quite right after that.

That could really read bad.

Well, the fluid quality is/was bad. I have changed the filter once, and changed the fluid again last night (what I could from the pan). I kick myself in the ass for not buying a new torque converter when the motor was out.

Is it gonna make the trip tomorrow? Is it acting better since you changed the fluid?

Enroute to get snow tires on the company car. 6" on the ground and still coming down.

Came across a Chevy Equinox stuck in a ditch earlier. Was going to help them but they didn't have any recovery points and the owner couldn't see anywhere to attach a strap.

Anybody know of any good right ups i could look at for doing the 2x6 steel rocker replacement? Gonna be doing this here soon and want to get as much info on where to cut and everything i can before i do it.

I pretty much followed a write up I found on some site called jeep kings, I think the thread was called extrem xj rocker replacement.
And yes it is spelled extrem without the e ..

Me too. I drove home with the truck in 2wd with an empty bed.

Came home, picked up Lynn and Ted and went to target and went out to eat. Pretty much had the places to ourselves. It was nice.

So far we have about 8 inches ish up here. This morning on the way to work there was about 4 inches on the ground.

I put 2x6 box in on mine. Cut the rockers out at the bottoms last bend in the door jam area then flush with the pinch weld. Set the box tube in and angled it down a little bit. Then welded 1 inch angle iron on the box tube and to the factory pinch weld. So far so good.
Now I really need to finish the floor on the drivers side.
