Has anybody ever bought any parts from ironman4x4fab.com? Have got a gift certificate to them and didn't know how their parts hold up.

I had his fixed lower arms on my old jeep. they were pretty sweet imo.

if i had air tools and more time i would have pulled them off before junking it, but i didnt.

We should talk....

Although that vw probably doesn't do well in deep snow.

it handles snow ok but deep snow...forget about it. give me a ring if you want though. i have to figure out something. i cant keep pumping money into this thing.

long story short. took it in last friday to get get rear brakes done. today, the car is telling me to check brake fluid. i check, its a little low. then i look at the inside of the rear pass tire/rim. nice coating of break fluid. take it by the shop, get a call a hour later. "caliper is leaking, gonna be another $500 plus labor".:sure:

Soooooooooooooo..... I was cleaning up my work computer and found this picture titled "XJ Finished" This is right after the very first 3.5 RE lift.

FINISHED.......LOL ...Well we all started someplace and some are going back to this type of build.

Wait for it.......

I worked with Andy on his original prototype double adjustable Long-arms and RE cross-member kit. In fact, they are still under the Jeep. The arms themselves probably weigh 50-70lbs. They have been abused at WF, pipeline in WI, and Blackhills SD with no damage whatsoever. His stuff is top-notch in my book!

Sounds good. Will have to see what I need.

As far as the VW talk goes, just asked Trixie what she thinks of them. She absolutely hated hers. I've never really heard good things about them or the maintenance cost of them.

here is what i can say about the MKV VW Gti. when running good/right, its the funnest car ive ever owned. when its time to fix something is the most expensive car ive ever owned.

Flex and Byron, in a few weeks, I have some time off and might be heading your ways to pick up parts you have for me. Flex, probably the 11th when I go snow tubing. Byron, let me know what days you work that week and I can head down there. I could use a quickie fix.
