Important

Think the carrier might be fubared too

It had a gouge in it but not on the bearing seat so I think it's ok. That other crap just wiped off after come carb cleaner and a shammy cloth.

Woke up this morning to some water in the basement because of a couple inches of rain in an hour or so........thanks al gore

just made some really shitty hash browns and eggs. im gonna need to get some tips from a short order breakfast cook.

crap...copied the wrong one. i cant get that kid to call me back. he texted with me a few times until i said i could come out and look tomorrow.

at any rate, this is that actual xj i went to look at:

http://newjersey.craigslist.org/pts/4178349535.html

same story...however, transfer case is blown. paint is faded...but the only rust i could find was a small spot in one of the gutter rails and a pea sized bubble on the drivers rocker. interior is actually fairly clean. with an afternoon deep clean and a carpet shampooer, it would look great. underbody still has most of the undercoating on it. no dents, a few very small dings. motor is higher mileage than i though. Part of me thinks i should offer him $500 just to see if he would take it...if he does, i already have a 242 that i could put in...BUT...if i can get it that cheap, i think i would just swap the lower mileage drivetrain that i already have into it. then i could replace anything i wanted to with the motor out of the bay. I also would have more money to spend to make sure brakes and everything are good to go. if the axles are junk, i have a full spare set that i could always put in...i have more free time coming up, so i'm debating it. it would eventually need paint, but a straight, rust free body with a clean interior is worth $500-700 to me...the motor runs smooth, but its really dirty....

i'm trying to see one or two others today, but people are so damn flaky.

Short-order cooks work on like 2'x4' griddles, or larger... Good food is made in bigger kitchens? Anyway, if you screw up eggs and hashbrowns, I think you really need some lessons.

If we can do the hunting trip next year, I'll show you a trick or two. And you'll wake up with a quarter in your hand ;)

Redirect downspouts and make sure the ground slopws away from the house.

We had to have to same thing done to the new house so it would pass inspection.

Found out the new garage is 30x38, which works out to be more square feet than our current house :D

I must have missed this. You found one?

All we saw here was some rain and short spurts of high winds. No Tornado luckily. I bet it was further south.

Rew, hear from your brother?

We got a bunch of wind, a little rain, and sounds like local tornado or 2. Power has been out for about an hour. No word on how long yet. Albulance and fire truck sirens echoing throughout the town.

Decent. I have some stuff to pick up. I think something tossed my garbage cans around because there is trash everywhere. The tornado sirens were going off so we took cover in the basement. Like I said power has been out for abiut an hour and counting so now I'm just hoping the basement stays dry without the pump running. Luckily there was not much rain. It seems like the bad stuff was a little west of me, but it got damn windy.

Big thanks to Brad and Molly for the axle. We will definitely put it to good use.

Is that my old rear axle out of the tealie?
