Well shit the shop says the ARB is not worth putting new seals in.
New Yukon gears/ARB Installed $2300

I suppose you wouldn't put a New ARB in with the old gears or something .

It will be done in time but there goes $ for renting or borrowing a tow rig.

Get a 2nd opinion. That's dumb.

Wish you were closer...I have a guy...

mac 'holy crap' gyvr

For $2300 he could drive to the Fort and back several times, almost be worth the trip.

It's one damn seal on the inside of the arb, those guys are full of shit. What's so trashed about the arb?

I had a crack in my ARB housing, right where the o-rings go. Didn't see it when I replaced the o-rings, so it still leaked. I think that part of the housing was around $125, had a tough time finding it as it was a discontinued model (for D44).

And the brakes on the E-350 still have plenty of life left, almost 40k miles on originals.

Originally he told me they could **** it to the side a bit and it would seal and maybe they could just realign it instead of doing the seals.
Now he says it was set up wrong by whoever did it initially, and was rubbing a bit on the ring gear so is damaged, he also said something about Not being able to get it apart because something was overtightened on the initial install.

I have had a noise for like a month in the rear only when turning right at speed that sounded like a loud whine from back there.
I got it 2 years ago maybe off of a member here and never saw metal in the gear oil or had any problems prior.

Being that I am leaving for Moab Next weekend I told them to do it even though I can't really afford it. I did tell them I wanted all the parts.
If there was time I would gladly bring it out to one of your guys shops for a second opinion, around here i'm not sure who else I would trust with modified Jeeps.

It would be cool if one of you looked at it even if just for the road trip, besides once someone walked me through it I could do it on my own after that !

Po'boy, I owe you a sixer. The t-harness was bad. Good call, now I haz both lights.

I get to take a shower tonight. Been doing the whore bath past two days. They just don't give you that good clean feeling.

Lesson learned, should have gotten Motorcraft plugs for the 150... Autolites are making it run really rough, but I got them as a payment for some work I did so I used them. Guess I'll tackle that next week, maybe get the COPS off ebay that everyone else is using and just do it all...

Sent the neon to her new home at my aunt's house. Can't say I'll miss anything but the gas mileage!

Trailer has lights and brakes (except one axle to adjust), bunch of little things left for trailer that should take only a couple more hours.

Changed both belts, both tensioners, both idler pulleys on the 350 tonight. Unless you've worked on a 6.4 truck none of you will appreciate the amount of bs...
