i see from facebook you are at a bruno mars concert...it may sound a little lame of me, but he is actually an extremely talented singer. i cant stand pop music, but unlike a lot of pop singers...that dude can sing. as someone who spends most of his time listening to people sing, trust me that its okay to like the concert a little bit. if for nothing else all the 20 something attractive women that a dude like that draws to a show.

he makes me think that somehow prince and sting had a lovechild...

I don't know the songs at all except for one or two. The show itself wasn't bad. The sounds, video and pyro were good. One of my job back up plans was audio/video.

Not really my thing but hopefully some brownie points later.

Congrats Craig! BTW, who did you get that MJ off of? Is it Will Poole's?

I'm scrolling backwards through this page and saw this before the name bar.. The first thing that sprang to mind was... well that has to be Ken, He is the only one here skinny enough for that anymore.
I think 89laredo probably is...

well...now i guess the search for mj parts begins. cab corners and rockers appear to be great, im just going to do the floors now and get it out of the way. will eventually be doing a 4wd swap as well. overall there are a lot of positives about the truck...i think it was a fairly even swap. its also 25 years old which means i can put historical plates on it in nj and won't have to get an emissions inspection...

the best part is, whoever had it before me put an upside down 8.25 on the rear...seriously?
wtf? did it have 5 reverse speeds and 1 forward?

So... two of the hardest to replace parts are in good shape. Floor pans are being produced. There was a thread a couple months ago on CC about them.
you have my attention. I have 2 MJs that both need floors.

That had to be the best craigslist deal ever. Got to the guy's place and he showed us around his knife shop, abs took us for a ride in his M38 Willys, we made a Hell of a deal and he even made walking sticks and he gave me one in the deal. Oh, and I got 18mpg on the way home too! :)
getting 22mpg in my 98 XJ, 4.0/AW4 driven like a racecar :)

the mj came from a kid in jersey...i traded the j10 for it. it needs much less work than the j10 to be functional. currently the jeep doesn't have a driveshaft, so my guess is someone just had an 8.25 laying around and strapped it on. i don't even think the ubolts are tight. it has a 4.0 that is supposedly good condition (turns over by hand) but there is a dual battery setup in it and he could never get power to the accessories so i think he gave up. the bed isn't rusty, but it has a few dents and i can see the typical bubbles starting to form above the wheel wells. i will get some pics the next time i go up to the shop...

Too lazy to go back and select all my multi-quotes...

Craig, we made a boy. We tried really hard to make sure he came out a he, good looking and especially hard on healthy. It all worked out the way we liked. Congrats on things improving.

Walt, it seriously is one of the best feelings in the world to hear a strong, healthy heartbeat.

Mac, it could have been worse. She could have wanted to see Robin Thicke. Whenever I hear that song of his, I can only imagine how his dad wants to hang himself.

Craig again. I agree on Bruno Mars. I'm fairly certain he is this generations best product. The guy has a lot of talent.

Re: Re: Important

I was thinking Volbeat was this generation's best talent.

I'm not the hugest fan but they are extremely tight and put on one hell of a show. They were at the big metal fest I used to do last year and this year the people demanded they come back...they were one of the headliners this year I believe.

They aren't reverse cut...4.89 for standard (not rubicon) d44 applications. Xj, cj, mj, Waggy, gm, and many others

I can relate to this I used to work security for a company that does all the major venues here in Stl. And does the city funded events.

I was exposed to a lot of artists and some really impressed me with their talent or stage presence that I would not like to admit to .

Camping festivals FTW. , I miss Schwagstock !

dear men of the mwc...

we have got to work on our ability to produce male offspring...we are striking out a lot lately. heres to 18 years of polishing a shotgun on the front porch.

on a more serious front, we cleared a major hurdle today. after our last ultrasound we were tagged as a high risk pregnancy and got referred to a specialist. due to a measurement they take at that ultrasound we were given the 1 and 5 possibility of having a child with down syndrome and a high risk of a few other chromosomal disorders and cardiac issues. down syndrome being the most common...after getting the bloodwork back today we were reduced to a 1 in 10,000 chance of the 3 most common chromosomal disorders. we are not out of the woods for heart defects or other anomalies, but they are much less common. given the fact that the baby is progressing normally, all of the bloodwork is normal, and the fact that the heart beat is always loud and strong at this point the doctors have told us we should be very optimistic. i feel like a big weight has been taken off our shoulders. we will take whatever god gives us and be happy, but knowing we have less to worry about is a great feeling.

Sounds like a good start. Hope everything works out as planned!!
What's the due date?

All in All, Bruno Mars has done extremely well. I have some of his stuff on the iPhone. Was the concert good (was he entertaining and seemed to be enjoying his work)?
