Important

My LTFT is down to ~80 now... 50psi might be a little too much. Lol
Jeep is running awesome though and my decel stutter is gone, so I'm not going to touch it.

Have you checked the ujoints and centering ball on your front driveshaft?

Im gonna go and look at the front drive shaft tonight. Hoping that it is something easy to replace.

This may be a dumb question, but i don't see anything wrong with it. Would it be bad on the axle to have one axle shaft a non abs shaft and one with abs? I wouldn't think it would hurt it but figured i would ask.

Won't matter at all. I've run all manner of axleshaft combos before... 760 one side/260 the other, pressed-on yoke one side/one piece forged on the other, ABS one side/non ABS the other, combinations of the above, you name it.

If you don't have ABS it doesn't matter.

Well then i will check the drive shaft tonight and if thats not it i will open up the diff to see whats going on in there. Maybe i will see some metal shavings or see signs of something going out.

not that any of you will go posting it on fb, but its still not public knowledge at this point so keep it on the DL ya'll ;)

we went in to have our first ultrasound and we are at about 9 weeks and so far all is well. going to wait about 3 more weeks to make the announcement to the world, but since none of you really know our families and friends, its safe to let the cat out of the bag here. looks i will be the next (former) mwc daddy of the group. this was not planned at all, but certianly welcome. we got to see the little peanut and hear the heartbeat so for now all is right with the world. very excited and also a little terrified about this...

though now the wife told me that she is okay with getting a 5.9 since it has heated leather and since my death trap xj dosen't have a back set...no doubt some projects will be put on hold and some will probably get the axe for now, but part of the reason i bought the big nasty xj i bought was to get some of the parts i want for no net loss :) i bought the rear axle before we knew, so im glad it made the cut! lol i'm pullin for a boy, but healthy is the most important thing for now..

ya'll be careful, that midwest fertility is a powerful thing ;)

Congrats. Hope everything goes well. Guess we live in the part of the mwc were the fertility is low. Seems here lately it has been all west of us. Whew. Hope it does come east any. haha

You haven't camped until you've camped with an 8 month old at a TREC race...

Funny you mention that Mac, was talking about the house stuff with Sarah's parents yesterday. Mentioned how we would like to get a camper (pop up, van type) for camping. They said, "you know once you get a house with a yard to take care of and have kids, camping probably won't happen a lot". I just held back what I was thinking because I know many people who camped with babies. Plus I don't want to spend over 2k for a pop up so if we only use it 2-3 times a year once we get one (highly unlikely as we will go more), it still will be worth it.

I wouldn't camp with a young child with anything less than a hard sided camper...

Tents or tent campers are not enough...

There was only one firework that woke her up, she was back asleep on her own in less than a minute...

Its alot more work tho...

In the long run, I would like to get a hardside camper, but a pop up will be a good first one as long as it has a/c and heat.

A week off of work and nothing but jeeps to work on. LOL The story of my life. :D Todays to do list is the trac bar and front shocks that showed up via UPS and get it ready for the alignment tomorrow. Yesterday the new adjustable control arms got installed along with a tire swap.

I hear you.

We started with a popup truck camper. It worked well for us.

The only reason we expanded so much was that we found a really good deal on the trailer that I have.

Otherwise it probably would've been a hard sided truck camper on a gooseneck.

We camped with a small child and a popup for several years. Get one with A/C and you will be good to go. We upgraded to a hard side because we outgrew a popup, and I'll never go back.

Spent a little time with the new XJ today getting it cleaned out. I think I inherited a bunch of the PO's problems....
