I'll tell ya what trying to payoff a car loan when the bank that holds the lien isn't within a few hours drive is a PITA!! Online payoff has a limit of what you can transfer to payoff. I just wanna pay the darn thing off why does it have to be so difficult!

All my vehicle loans are done with local credit unions that hold the title locally because of this.

The LJ I bought had a lien with a national bank and the title had to be over nighted from Texas...was a pain...made me glad for my local stuff.

When I paid the trailer off after selling the rzr I walked in with cold hard cash and walked out with the trailer title...felt good.

I tried that and they said I could not pay the amount I owed over the phone or net because it was above their max allowable amount. I figured if someone wanted to give them that kind of $ they would be glad to accept it.

I will ONLY deal with local banks from now on for vehicle loans. It takes one issue like this to make me realize how nice it is to deal locally.
