Important

Let me rephrase that. If you have stock "style" steering or steering that mounts below the knuckle.

I know the setup isn't an inverted Y or whatever like stock, but it's still under the knuckle. The angles aren't perfect, but if we all wanted perfect we wouldn't be driving unibody grocery getters that fold like a taco. :looney:

The angles on this one aren't great either, since he made it look good with bends in his trackbar, but the mount angle is still shallower than the draglink, but it is stock steering :P

That looks ok. But if that drag link was mounted under.... That would suck.

I had one ton steering on my last jeep. Ran it under the knuckle with a track bar in the stock location. When I flipped it, it drove like ass. Had to redo my track bar.

I have the 'stock' style steering... From Currie...

It clears the steering just fine, it's actually closer to the axle than the stock mount was so no problems...

so im pretty sure either my cps or fuel pump are finally deciding to give out...after 275k, i was dodging bullets with both of them being stock. driving home the xj was cutting out and in until i mashed down the gas...this morning when i moved it, it ran fine...but its been running a little rougher lately when it get warmed up. should have replaced them both before i moved to the concrete jungle. i will just replace them both. i suspect its the pump, but it did throw a misfire code a week ago or so. they are both long overdue, i just hope i can limp it somewhere to fix it...guess its time to finally sign up for triple a

Jury is still out if my junk will be attending the anniversary event. It doesn't like long drives and I understand that the trail heads are a ways out. I can get a plate if necessary but it was never built for road use.

Take my trailer and mac's truck to the trail. Or just take my truck and trailer. We'll be driving to the trails.

<chuckle> I don't think it'd like that drive north on the highway out of Moab.

No, I wouldn't..... but I have seen Dan's rig.....

A long drive? More than a mile at speeds over 20mph.

I like the idea of trailering to the trail head.

I never put any effort into making it anything other than a trail rig.

The flames that make it look fast could be considered false advertising. :D

I drove my pile everywhere in 2008. One trail I drove 20 or 30 miles to the trail head at 60 mph...

It was the only rig to run all the hard trails that week w/o being trailered to the trail head everytime. Pmain was only second cause he didn't take his rig to BFE, otherwise he did all the other hard stuff w/o the assistance of being towed to the trial head.

Durbin, nothing is set in stone on trailer spots so we don't have one to give at this point, if something opens up ill let you know.

mac 'not even sure what I'm wheeling at this point 'gyvr
