Important

I just got the craigslist deal of the year. Five yes that's five 225/75/R17 on JK wheels for $400. One is brand new 0 miles the other four have she claims 6k, but I think closer to 10k on them. Still for $400 they where a steal!!!!

While Im on here. Anyone know if ball joints from a 91 will fit a 99? I don't recall anything saying they won't but I just don't know for sure.

Also I'm in need of some adapters to mount those JK rims to my XJ if anyone has a set laying around they're looking to get rid of.

Yeah balljoints are the same between 91 and 99.

Just in case any of you are wondering, I'm not dead.

What, no internet or phone service up there in South Canada? :gee:

What brand do you guys use for balljoints?

Well since the Moog's i put in my jeep lasted a year and the place I bought them from wouldn't honor the lifetime warranty without a receipt I just put lifetime warrant auto zone specials in the jeep I bought for Vince. I figure they can't last any less time than the Moog's and only running 31's I'm not worried about breaking them.

Blue boots.

Do a search for Dana 30/44 blue boot ball joints. Throw that part number through google and see who sells them these days. I think its Wagner, used to be Spicer or Moog. Everything else just sucks or doesn't fit.

Nice. Your shop has a press brake big enough to form that?

Nope, that's a 4" chunk of 2" x 4" tube. I just got creative with the vertical band saw.

EDIT - I think I'm going to start building my own trusses for the axles... I got enough Plate to do it I think...

That's a heckuva good idea. I may have to replace the frame side track bar mount on mine, I'm not sure if it's wallowed out, or if the bolt is worn.

Well, if you have an evening you wanna stop by, and have the metal, we can do it here...

Lemme know what metal you want/need, I may have enough here...

I've got the band saw, and I can probably bribe the neighbor to let me use his drill press. And a pretty healthy MIG welder to reassemble the mount. It'll probably take me longer to figure out what chunk of tubing to buy than it will to fix it.

I'll keep your offer in mind, though.

Whenever/whatever you need, I got 2-post lifts and pretty much any tools/machines you'd need... And CarQuest 2-3min away, they also deliver :)
