problem with state farm's roadside assistance for me is that you pay up front, then they send you a check.

Wienerbox tow bill is 500 bucks if they send a wrecker.

Worth paying for good sam so we don't have to come out of pocket right there for the tow, then play the waiting game with state farm.

True. MDT tows get expensive in a hurry.

I did have to pay the tow up front with State Farm, and it was a pretty long haul back into Pagosa Springs (ended up unloading the Jeep, and using that to tow the flatbed without trailer brakes or turn signals..... yeah, I know. He followed me down the grade knowing this and being able to see the Jeep tail lights.) I had a check on the spot in SF's office when I finally got home.

Wow, yeah, with anything bigger than a car or the heep, that wouldn't be a good policy.

mom works for SF....my checks show up fast

I had my f350 towed right after I got it because of battery issues. It did not have a trailer and it should've cost over $100 just to tow it the 5 miles to my house. The wrecker company cuts me a deal because they also tow for the city and did it for $55. I paid up front and went the next day to the state farm office to get a check for the tow.

I do not know if they will cover towing both my truck and trailer loaded...that would not be cheap. Good Sam will have it towed to the nearest authorized repair place.

mac 'prays I never need a tow' gyvr

SF has always paid me when I walk into the office with the tow bill.

With the crap I seem to buy.. the towing insurance combined with recently purchased coverage, SF has paid to tow home a couple of 'treasures'

Bounder was $350 for a ten mile tow.

You pay big to start up the big rigs.

$250 to start one of our semi wreckers.

Aaron, I'm still not sure my ZJ is roadworthy enough to make it to Attica, but I'm driving it anyway. I drove my XJ with a screaming t'case input bearing for quite a while; it'll be fine. If not, we can figure out a way to get you home.

Damn you guys and your peer pressure! :D

You're leaving Weds right? If it blows up, I'll come rescue you.

There, now you have no excuses

Haha, usually you're the one talking me out of something stupid! If she doesn't nuke something before then I guess i'll chance it.

this is an awesome day...

should be prepping to leave tomorrow, starting to pack some boxes and helping the wife get her resume together. instead im in bed, sick with stomach flu and its snowing. hoping i can get out alright in the morning, but its pretty touch and go right now. im supposed to be on a plane by 7am tomorrow. if the stomach bug doesn't ground me, the snow might...though it might work in my favor. maybe it will be delayed and i'll feel better by the time we take off. there were 7 techs loading in and operating a show together tues, wed, and tearing it out thursday. yesterday about every 4 hours one of them went down. 4 of them were sick by yesterday evening...now me today. only 2 left! we thought it might be food poisoning, but one guy ate somewhere completely different every day...

I was going either way. I have a car too, Jeff! :laugh3:

But does it have adequate tow points?
